The Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) Hornets is a distinguished American football team from one of the world's oldest technical universities, Istanbul Technical University, which is nearing its 250th anniversary. Established in 1993, the İTÜ Hornets consist of men's and women's teams, including a professional men's team, a college team, a women's flag football team, and youth development teams. We have achieved significant success, including back-to-back national championships in 2014 and 2015 in the college league.
The club's primary goal is to introduce and train İTÜ students in American football, fostering talent for inclusion in the team. We also participate in international tournaments, like the Central European Football League, and contribute players and coaches to the Turkish National American Football Team. With a substantial following on social media and regular broadcast of their games on prominent sports channels in Turkey, the İTÜ Hornets are a prominent force in Turkish American football.
